Flash Point Test
Testing Standard: IS 1448 P:21 / IEC 2719
Flash Point determines the temperature at which transformer oil vapors ignite when exposed to an open flame. A normal flash point for transformer oil is above 140°C.
A significantly lower flash point indicates contamination with volatile substances, mixing with lower-grade oil, or severe thermal degradation, all of which pose a fire and safety risk. This test is mandatory for safety compliance.
